Mark S. “Stump” Tooley, Sr., 68. Passed away Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by an abundance of family and friends.
Mark was born in 1956 in Niskayuna, NY, the son of Alpheus Francis Tooley and Helen VanNatten Tooley.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Ginger Abrino; two brothers, Billy and Dennis Tooley, and a grandson, Matteo Henderson.
Mark is survived by his significant soul mate, JoAnne Bonfey Kadle, the mother of Thomas M. Tooley; Corinne Tooley, the mother of his twins, Mark S. Tooley Jr., (Kasi L. Cadell) and Makayla S. Tooley (Jerell Dukes), his children, Kelly S. Tooley (Brent Smith), Jamie L. Kadle (Rich Smith), Jewlee Jones, Marsha Rickert (Scott Rickert), Marcie L. Ostrom (Tyrone Tutt), Monica L. Hilts (William Hilts), Shawn Marzek, Gary F. Cherny (Kelly Fisher). Ashley N. Cherny, Meagan L. Thomas, Antwan D. Mangum, Hunter L. Wilcox, and his brother Francis Tooley.
Mark is also survived by his grandchildren, Tiernan Tooley, Noah Owens, Jayden Smith, Malakas Mangum, Eric Bowman Jr., Karoline Bowman, Brayden Smith, Ame’Layah brown, Bentley Cherny, Sophia Henderson, Cecelia Cherny, Zach Henderson, Briana Henderson, Meraiah Wradge, William Wradge, Ali Wradge, Taneyah Williams, Shalonda Henderson, Katelynn Abrino, Brooklyn English, Summerlynn English and Blaze Provost; and great-grandchildren Maleni Henderson and Zaidyn Williams.
Mark was a loving father, spouse and dearest friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and had a passion for his Citizens Band Radio, Mark had a lot of friends, those he considered his family that he loved dearly and communicated with daily across the CB. He was a generous and self-made man that will truly be missed by all who knew him. At Mark’s request, there will be no formal memorial service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced.
