TAMPA BAY, FL – Mark R. Nocera, 46, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Mark was born in Schenectady on January 28, 1967, a loving son of Ralph and Barbara Pucci Nocera. He graduated as a Deans List Student first from Merrimack College, in North Andover MA, receiving his BS in Civil Engineering and then from RPI in Troy, NY with his Masters in Environmental Engineering. He was most recently employed by Janitronics, Inc. in Colonie, working at General Electric Global Research facility, where he was the supervisor of Environmental and Facility Maintenance, before relocating to Florida. Mark was a member of various engineering associations. He was an avid and passionate sports fan with extreme knowledge and interest with regards to his Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NY Yankees.
In addition to his loving parents, Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Jina Bae Nocera. He was a devoted father to his son Mark Nocera and his daughter Eleanna. Also left to cherish his memory are his siblings, Ralph Nocera, Jr., of Clifton Park, Tina Drouin and her husband Reno, of Scotia and Todd Nocera and his companion Gina, of Niskayuna; an aunt Mary Greenwood, his uncles, Nicholas Nocera and Dominick Pucci; a niece and several nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 8 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to St. Luke's Church, State Street, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9am. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm.
