SCHENECTADY – It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mark on February 4, 2026.
Mark was a kind and gentle man, with a warm heart and deep love for his family and friends. His humor and caring nature touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mark was a devoted companion, friend, and above all, father. His children were his world, whom he cherished every moment with, even the small and mundane. This is when his smile was always brightest.
As a father, Mark often spoke words of confidence into his children, wanting them to always be the best version of themselves. Because of this he often said to them, “keep your head up. Walk into a room confident, like you own it, and like you belong there.” These lessons will be cherished and held dearly by his children, forever.
Mark also enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether that be hiking, construction something new, or riding four-wheelers with loved ones. These days were even better if his fur babies were tagging along for the ride.
Mark is survived by his mother, Brenda Glodny; his grandmother, Catherine Kwapiszewski; his children, Destiny, MaryJane, Bron, Skyla, and Elizabeth; companion, Debra; his nieces and nephews, Kiara-Lee, Kevin, Kiersten, Nathan, and Dylan; his brother, Patrick (Brittany), his Aunt Katie (Dale), Aunt Maggie (Mike), Uncle Donnie (Kim), Aunt Donna, Uncle Joey and Chris as well as, many cousins. Mark also leaves behind an immense amount of close friends near and far, that were dear to his heart including his “gathering” family.
Mark was predeceased by his father, Mark, his sister, Mary and his grandfather, Earl.
A Service to celebrate Mark’s life will be held on Wednesday at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, at 5-6 pm.
In honoring Mark’s life and the things he loved, the family takes comfort in the spirit of the music that meant so much to him – and the belief that he has found his final resting place of Shangri-La, a place of peace, rest, and everlasting love.
