ALBANY – Mark J. Caracciolo, 55, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Livingston Hills Rehabilitation Facility, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Mark was born in Schenectady on June 11, 1959 a son of Sarah Fluty Caracciolo and the late Mario Caracciolo. He graduated from Mohonasen High School and located to Albany. Mark was employed at the Menands Workshop and the Capital District Psychiatric Center. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the Miami Dolphins. He leaves a legacy to his family and friends of a kind, gentle and loving man.
Mark was predeceased by his father Mario Caracciolo and an uncle Marco Caracciolo.
He is survived by his loving mother, Sarah Fluty Caracciolo and devoted siblings, Anthony Caracciolo and his wife Terri and Linda Attanasio and her fiancé David Sobieski; nieces and nephews, Robert, Michael, Nicholas, Erica and Rachel; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, corner of N. Jay, with Fr. Richard A. Carlino, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 8 to 10 am.
