Marie R. Martin

. Martin, 83, died Tuesday evening at Baptist Health Nursing Home, after a long illness.
Marie was born in South Schenectady, the daughter of the late Peter and Grace Eats Delory. She attended the former Draper High School and then worked for the General Electric Company for 30 years, where she was a production follower for large motors, gas turbines and retiring from steam turbine and generators. Marie was a member of the local 301 and devoted communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, a sister Dorothy and a brother Patsy Delory.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Norman E. Martin, whom she married on November 28, 1970. Loving daughter Tanya Buono and her husband Pat of Rotterdam; siblings, Norma Iannotti and her husband Anthony of Rotterdam, Eleanor LaMalfa of Northport, FL, Phyllis Phillips of Rotterdam; two aunts, Victoria Flory of Rotterdam and Mary DiMartino of Daytona Beach, FL; also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Saturday morning at 8:30 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Princetown Road, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am. Interment to follow the Mass in Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday Evening from 5 to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Washington Ave Extension, Bldg. 4, Suite 405 Albany, NY 12205.
