Maria Dolores Hong

Maria Dolores Hong was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She left this world suddenly on the morning of Sunday, March 21st, 2021 at age 61.

She was born to Zaida Perez and Lee Hong on August 25th, 1959 in New York City. Maria was a force to be reckoned with; overcoming so many obstacles and so much pain in her life. She brought into this world four children whom she loved with all of her heart: three sons Jerry, Robert, and Anthony, as well as one daughter, Natasha. She also took on the role of a mother to Loraida and Lorenzo, whom she loved and cared for as her own.

Maria spent so much time in the kitchen; preparing delicious meals for her loved ones while loudly playing her music. Her Puerto Rican and Chinese background was something she was proud of, bringing the flavors of both cultures to the food she made. She enjoyed quality time with family and always lit up any room she walked into. She really was the life of any party! Good food, good music, and even better company; that was what Maria brought into the lives of those who knew and loved her.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home at 501 Union Street on the corner of North Jay St. in Schenectady, New York.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 pm until the service.
