ROTTERDAM – Marie E. Glennon Farina, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Ellis Hospital.
Marie was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late William and Isabel Pellegrino Glennon, and was a 1963 graduate of Linton High School. She began her working life at the Schenectady Library and later worked alongside her Aunt Edith at the Press Box. Marie devoted herself to caring for her daughter at home, a role she cherished deeply. She later went on work at Tiny Town Day Care in Scotia, where her love for children and nurturing spirit were evident to all.
She was a beautiful Christian Italian woman whose life was centered on family and caring for others. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, who meant the world to her. She was a wonderful baker and cook, known for meals made with love and shared around the table. She also enjoyed quiet moments spent reading. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, loving heart.
She was predeceased by her beloved Frank Farina on March 6, 2008, after 43 loving years of marriage.
She is survived by her loving family; her daughter, Elaine Masi and her husband, Lawrence, Jr., grandchildren, Lawson, Lorenzo and Elizabeth Masi; brother, Donald Glennon and his longtime partner Ralph Lanzetti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday at St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street on Sunday from 3 to 5 pm.
