Pallotolo, Maria Anna (Mollina) Di Cocco, 92, passed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, May 21 with her Granddaughter Ashley by her side. Born on July 22, 1929, in Fontechiari Province of Frosinone, Italy, to Palma and Lorenzo Di Cocco, she immigrated to America in May of 1948. She attended night school to learn English and began working at a glove factory. In June 1952 she married her loving husband Carmine. They spent 67 wonderful years together until his passing in 2019. Maria Anna was dedicated to her family and made them her top priority. She loved shopping at The Carl Co., Macy’s, QVC, cooking for family, gardening, and knitting.
In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her sister Antonia Carpico (Ornorio). She is survived by her brother Michael (Carol) Di Cocco and her loving children Carmine (Donna) Pallotolo, Joseph (Toni) Pallotolo, Diane (Matthew) Butrym and Gina (Michael) Diemer. Grandchildren Joshua (Michaleen), Jaime, Michael Jr., Ashley, Matthew (Ansley),Marissa, Shawn and Kevin. Great Grandchildren Jordan, Josiah, Joseph, Deserie, Dane and Mariah, several nieces and nephews.
Services will he held on Friday at 12 noon from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place, at 1 pm
Entombment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7 pm.
Contributions can be made in Maria Anna’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
