Marguerite Victoria Salamone Morrell

SCHENECTADY - Marguerite Victoria Salamone Morrell, 94, a lifelong resident of Van Vranken Avenue entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Baptist Health & Retirement Center.
Marguerite was born in Schenectady on September 7, 1923 a daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Martarano) Salamone. She graduated from Nott Terrace High School and worked for the American Crystal Company. Marguerite's greatest joy in life was her family and caring for them. She loved Christmas, family gatherings, and baking homemade specialty cakes for those she treasured.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael Morrell; siblings, Antoinette Fatato, Victor, Armand, Michael and Frank Salamone.
Marguerite is survived by her loving and devoted daughters Victoria (Cesare) Maniccia and Maureen (Dennis) Karius; adoring granddaughters, Dayna (Mark Gundrum) Maniccia and Dawn (Frank) Carnevale; great-grandson, Frank Cesare Carnevale; sister, Ann Stella; a nephew, Gregory Stella and nieces Susan and Sophia Salamone.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 5 pm. Funeral services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
