Margaret Debiase

March 15, 1932 — January 15, 2024

SCHENECTADY - Margaret Tiberio DeBiase, 91, entered into the Arms of her Lord on Monday, January 15, 2024, surrounded by the love of her children.
Margaret was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Candido ‘Andy’ and Angelina Commanzo Tiberio. She was a 1949 graduate of the former Nott Terrace High School and was employed at the General Electric Company. She began a secretarial career with the Schenectady School District in 1969 and retired after many years of dedicated service.
An avid cook, great seamstress, and piano player, Margaret, also graced many with her talent as a crocheter, her handmade blankets were treasured by all who received them. A friendly and generous soul, Margaret, welcomed everyone she met with her kind smile and made them feel special.
At the heart of Margaret’s life, were her family; she taught them love, respect, tradition and shared with them her faith.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frank R. DeBiase; infant sons, Frank and Robert DeBiase; and siblings, Fred Tiberio and Lillian Campolieto.
Margaret is survived by her loving children, Frank and Lynn DeBiase, Margaret and Mickey Valletta, and Paul and Sandra DeBiase; her cherished grandchildren, Marissa (Keith) Edwards, Mia Valletta, Nicholas (Vanesa) Valetta, Michael and Matthew DeBiase; and the blessing of a great-granddaughter, Luana Valetta; many dear nieces, nephews, Godchildren and special lifelong friends.
The DeBiase family is tremendously grateful to Community Hospice, for embracing our Mom and family with compassion, kindness, and dignity over the past weeks.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 am at St. Anthony’s Church. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
