SCHENECTADY –Margaret Colucci Clark, 95, died Monday afternoon at Ellis Hospital, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born in Schenectady on December 9, 1914, a daughter of the late Ferdinand and Antoinette Ciccarelli Colucci. She was educated at the Old Schenectady High School and then went on to attend college in Albany. She worked for the New York State Department of Education as a manager of the film library. Margaret was part of the Schenectady Home Bureau’s Nimble Fingers Unit where she taught the art of enameling on copper. She traveled extensively to various places including China, Japan, Russia, Egypt, Italy and Hawaii. Margaret was a devoted communicant and volunteer of the Unitarian Church where she would cook for their activities.
Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Homer Herbert Clark Sr.; her son, Homer Herbert Clark Jr.; siblings, Albert Colucci, Constance Colucci, Catherine Colucci, James Colucci, Ann Barbuti, Julie Varrone, Fred Colucci and Dominic Colucci.
Margaret is survived by her loving son Chalmers Colucci Clark and his wife Nancy Fama-Clark; sister-in-law, Helen Miller Carter; devoted friends and extended family, Brenda, Mary and Jeanne of Schenectady; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will held Friday evening at 7 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, with the Rev. Pricilla Richter officiating. Interment will take place at Sea Side Cemetery, Blue Hill, Maine at a later date.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday evening from 4 to 7 pm.
