Louise J. Pacelli Didonna

July 20, 1934 — December 12, 2017

SCHENECTADY - Louise Joan DiDonna (Pacelli) born July 20, 1934 to the late Arthur and Tulia Pacelli (Ruscitto) went home peacefully and graciously, into the kingdom of heaven, where she joined her beloved husband and love of her life, on Tuesday December 12 2017, while surrounded by her loving family.
Louise was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Albany Business School. She worked as a secretary for General Electric and the law firm of Grasso, Rodriguez Putorti & Grasso.
Louise paused her career to remain at home, devoting her entire being to her loving husband and six children.
In later years, she worked as the secretary at her beloved St. Anthony's Church. It was there that she demonstrated her faith throughout her life. She was a member of the Sacred Heart League and a Venerini Associate. You could always find her hidden away in the church kitchen with Sister Maria Rosa and the other remarkable woman that came together to donate their time and baking talents. It was there she formed lifelong friends.
Louise was also blessed to still have her amazing childhood friends in her life. They continued to travel enjoy meals together, always laughing and having a wonderful time.
She leaves behind a legacy, as a strong, wonderfully devoted person and teacher of all talents, cake decorating, knitting, sewing and cooking. She was also kind, generous, andlovingperson that possessed a true servant's heart.
Louise was predeceased by her loving husband Deacon, August J. DiDonna.
She is survived by her sisters Anne Marie Spadafora (Mario), Rosalie Nappi (Onnie) and brother Arthur Pacelli (Betty). Her children, Cindy DiDonna, Andrew DiDonna, Cathy and her husband Glenn Amell, Laura and her husband Charles Macejka, Lisa and her husband Anthony Popolizio, Marielynn DiDonna, and her partner Robert Douglas, her sister in-law Mary Lou and her husband Dominic Mancini, loving Grandchildren, Jordan Macejka, Jenna Macejka, Reiana Rose Opalka, and Jonah Amell, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. at the Rossi &Ditoro funeral home, 501 Union St. then to St. Anthony's Church Seward Place, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi &Ditoro Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon December 17thfrom 2 to 6 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anthony's Church or the American Cancer Society would be welcomed.
