SCHENECTADY – Louise M. Bologna, 66, passed away on Thursday at Albany Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Louise was born February 11, 1946, in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Wimette Bologna. She was a 1964 graduate of Notre Dame High School, received her Applied Science degree from SUNY Cobleskill and her Bachelors of Science degree in food service from RIT. Louise worked as a dietician for Service Systems, for twenty years and then for OTB, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Gabriel D'Annunzio Lodge, #321 Sons of Italy and a communicant of St. Helen's Church.
Survivors include her devoted brother Frank Bologna and his wife Ellen, of Knoxville, TN; loving nieces, Gina Wierbowski, and her husband Edward, Emily Balcom, and her husband Jeffrey, Lauren Maddoc, and her husband Keith, and Stephenie Penney and her husband Ryan; and four great nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Monday, at 8:00 am, at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to St. Helen's Church were a Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brandywine Avenue.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
