Schenectady – Louisa A. DeVincenzo Aunchman, 75, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, April 20, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Louisa was born on April 3, 1951, a daughter of the late Frank DeVincenzo and Anna Ballone. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and then went on to fulfill a successful career at St. Clare’s Hospital, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Louisa was a kind and generous woman with a full and loving heart, always giving more of herself than she kept for herself. She was deeply loved by many, and her warmth, compassion, and selflessness touched countless lives. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Louisa is survived by her loving and devoted family; her husband of 36 years, Bernard Aunchman, children, Frank Moraway, Kimberly (Moraway) Schimikowski, Erica (Rizzo) McMaster; grandchildren, Emily (Schimikowski) Kugler, Clemens Schimikowski, Aydan Moraway; great-granddaughter, Lillian Kugler; sister, Joann Smeaton; many loving nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Louisa’s memory to the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society at mohawkhumane.org.
