Lorraine Iovinelli Maiorano

GLENVILLE – Lorraine C. Maiorano, 85, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, November 10, 2018.
Lorraine was born on Front Street, February 18, 1933 a daughter of the late Salvatore and Columbia DiCierno Iovinelli. She attended Nott Terrace High School and worked for American Laundry. She retired from NYS Taxation and Finance, where she worked as a key punch operator for 30 years. Lorraine was a lively spirited woman with a kind heart. She enjoyed being with her family and going to OTB and the Casino. Lorraine was a devoted communicant of St. Anthony’s Church.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Jerry Maiorano; siblings, Antoinette Rotondo, Marion Izzo, Rose Diamante, Clara Isabella, Mary Venditti, Helen Fratine, Sammy Iovinelli, Dolores Berrian and Frank Iovinelli.
She is survived by her niece, MaryAnn Rotondo and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, who adored their Aunt.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., and then to St. Anthony’s Church, Seward Place, where a Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 9 am to 10:30 am.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s memory to St. Anthony’s Church Restoration Fund.
