Lorraine C. Dicristofaro

LAKE GROVE, NY- Lorraine C. DiCristofaro, 82, formerly of Schenectady, entered into the arms of her Lord on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.
Lorraine was born on April 3, 1939, in Schenectady a daughter of the late Louis and Mary DiGirolamo Buono. She was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. Lorraine began her long and dedicated career as a legal stenographer with the NYS Attorney’s General’s Office, where she managed, trained, and mentored others in her field.
A woman of faith and charism, Lorraine’s life was blessed with many special people as she served God in her vocations at home, at church, at work, in the community, and with the Order of Carmelites & Discalced Secular, 3rd Order Carmelite. She was a faithful, loving, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend to all. Lorraine was a former communicant of St. Margaret of Cortona, where she attended regularly and served as a Eucharist minister.
In addition to her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony DiCristofaro, and her brothers, William and Ronald Buono.
She is survived by her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Eileen DiCristofaro; adoring granddaughters, Megan C. DiCristofaro and Kaitlin N. Pranav (Pranav), all of Holbrook, NY; many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 1228 Main St., Rotterdam Junction. Burial will be private.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., on Sunday from 2-8 pm.
Masks must be worn for all services.
