Lois Rolleston Parisella

SCHENECTADY – Lois Rolleston Parisella, 78, eternally joined her parents and sisters on Monday afternoon.
Lois was born in Riverdale, NY, a daughter of the late John and Dehlia Mulligan Rolleston. She was a graduate of New Paltz Teachers College, where she received her teaching degree. Her greatest love was teaching elementary school, especially the second grade. She then went on to work as a Tariff Analyst for the New York State Public Service Commission. She was a Warrior in every aspect of her life, including battling big utility companies against rate increases and was a frequent contributor to the Letters to the Editor section for the Schenectady Gazette as well as the Cobleskill Times Journal. Lois was a lover of animals and was very active in the Schoharie County Animal Shelter, where she was an advocate for stray animals.
Lois was predeceased by her sisters, Clare Concia, Eileen Casazza and Mary Pelligrino.
Lois is survived by her devoted children, Laura, Jimmy, John, Annie and Mike; loving grandchildren, Jamie Conway and her husband Chris, Patrick Scott, Stephanie Parisella, Joe Parisella, Devin Scott, Jack Ryan Parisella and Elliot Nark; and a great-grandson, Nathan Conway.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, Saturday afternoon from 1 to 4.
