Linda Troiani

GLENVILLE – Linda Troiani, 86, died peacefully, after a long illness, Tuesday morning at her residence, with her loving family by her side.
Linda was born in Navelli, Province of L’Aquila, Italy on October 4, 1923, a daughter of the late Luigi and Maria Tiberi Diomede. Linda was educated in Italy and immigrated to Schenectady with her family on July 5, 1956. She worked at the General Electric Company and was a loving and caring homemaker to her family. She was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Linda was an avid gardener, planting many varieties of vegetables and flowers and enjoyed her brisk daily walks. She was especially proud of her grandchildren.
Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband Ermando Troiani, whom she married May 14, 1947 and he died in June 2003.
Survivors include her adoring children Peter and his wife Linda Troiani of Surfside Beach, SC, Rachele and her husband Edward Granka of Niskayuna, and Luigi Troiani of Durham, NC; grandchildren Roberta Fahd, Kimberly Troiani-MacColl and her husband Dan, Anthony Troiani, and his wife Suzanne, Laura Granka and Julie Granka; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Tyler MacColl and Nathaniel Troiani.
Services will be held Monday morning at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Rosa Road, where a Mass will be celebrated at 9 am. Interment to follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Sunday afternoon from 1 to 3 pm.
