Linda Jane Devivo

GLENVILLE - Linda Jane DeVivo, age 75, passed away in the early morning hours of October 8, 2023, at Ellis Hospital. Born December 26, 1947, in Plattsburgh NY; Linda was the first of Betty Prime and Gerard McGee’s two daughters. Linda grew up in AuSable Chasm, NY, and spent her younger years in the Adirondacks. As a child, Linda explored the forest, rode horseback, and helped raise her younger siblings. She graduated from Keeseville High School and maintained many childhood friendships throughout her life. Her professional life was one of service to her community. She attended nursing school at Mary McClellan School of Nursing in Cambridge and worked in several nursing homes and hospitals, often as a charge nurse. She ended her career as a private duty nurse assisting the elderly in their homes. Linda’s lifelong love of animals started with a barnyard full of cats and a spirited horse named Toni.
