Lillian Mae Macejka

SCHENECTADY - Lillian Mae Macejka, 87, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026 at home, with her loving family at her side.

Lillian was born in Schenectady a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Ganley Lipinski. She worked in the housekeeping department at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital for many years. She was a loving woman who taught her children love, respect and the value of hard work. She treasured baking Christmas cookies with her daughters and playfully sending the boys out of the kitchen. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with Bill and her sister Judy, especially when she won at the slots, and looked forward to lunch rides with Uncle Mike and Aunt Florence

She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Macejka, Sr., and her siblings, Mary Dutcher, Margaret McCarthy, Irene Bosco, John (Red) Lipinski and Julia August.

Lillian is survived by her children, William (Roberta) Macejka, Jr., Cheryl (Christopher) Petrozzi, Paul (Anna) Macejka, Karen Armstrong and Ann (Joseph) Shoemaker; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at 10am on Friday at Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, with Rev. Matthew H. Frisoni, officiating.
