NISKAYUNA – Lewis A. Pepicelli, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Lewis was born in Schenectady the son of the late James and Louise (DeLuke) Pepicelli. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, where he excelled in track. Lewis entered the US Air Force, serving from 1959-1964, where he received his Associate’s degree from Gunter Branch School of Aviation Medicine, in Dental Laboratory Studies. Remarkably dedicated to his craft, he continued working until 2024, at the age of 87. A true master of his profession, Lewis took great pride in his work.
Beyond his career, Lewis was a kind and loving husband and father, and a devoted provider for his family. He was a man of deep faith who lived his life guided by Christian values. Lewis was a longtime communicant of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church and, more recently, St. Kateri Tekakwitha.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Doris Olbrich Pepicelli, loving son, Glen Pepicelli; and his brother, Robert Pepicelli.
Lewis is survived by his devoted son, Darren; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and her daughter Victoria; a sister, Gail DeCesare and her husband Robert; niece, Tracie DeCesare (Scott) Mueller; and nephews, Bruce DeCesare, Dean DeCesare and Keith Pepicelli; a great-niece, Sydney; and many dear cousins.
