Schenectady- Lenora Pezzano, 83, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday May 27 at the Glendale Nursing Home.
Lenora was born in Schenectady, on October 3, 1928 a daughter of the late James and Raffaela Cosenzia Pezzano. She was a life-long resident of Foster Avenue.
She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, the former Holy Cross Church and for many years a member of the Crusaders Club.
She was a homemaker and took great joy in her family and all of their activities. She was active with her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews her entire life. She was the chauffer for her three sisters and loved to decorate her home for the holidays. Lenora was a wonderful cook and baker, enjoyed arts and crafts and watching television.
Lenora was predeceased by her siblings; Catherine, Rose, Vincenzina, Fred and Bruno Pezzano, Angelina LaMalfa and Evelyn DeFelice.
She is survived by two her sisters, Mary Pezzano and Francis Younger; nieces: Antonia (Terry) Burke, Carol DeFelice, Patricia (Nicholas) Barber and nephews: Anthony (Annette) DeFelice, Robert Pezzano, and Richard (Patricia) Pezzano. Grandnieces and grandnephews: Fred Burke, Brian (Colleen) Burke, Christine (Dan) Wismont, Chad (Rebecca) Pezzano, Tricia (Jeff ) Edwardsen, Kira Pezzano and Sharon Perez and great, great nieces and nephews
Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 am.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Lenora's memory to
Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
