Laura Strazzi

SCHENECTADY- Laura G. Strazzi, 87, died Wednesday morning at Ellis Hospital.
Laura was born and educated in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Rocco and Elisa DeLava Strazzi. She worked for MICA Insulator, 3M Company and retired from the General Electric Company. Laura was a wonderful woman who loved people and animals. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, playing cards and shopping and had a great sense of humor.
She was predeceased by her siblings, James Strazzi, Rocco Strazzi, Virginia Brennan and Julia Benaquista.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces and her niece and caregiver of many years, Eda Pell of Schenectady.
Laura’s family would like to personally thank the A-wing, 6th floor, Nursing Staff of Ellis Hospital for the love and care shown to Laura.
Services will be held Monday morning at 10 AM from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, then to St. John the Evangelist Church, Union St., where a Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Vale Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Sunday evening from 4 to 8 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made in Laura’s memory to the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302 or the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211.
