Klara E. Macherone

SCHENECTADY – Klara E Macherone, 89, entered into eternal rest Friday evening at her home.
Klara was born and educated in Germany and immigrated to Schenectady after WWII. She worked for European Health Spa’s in Niskayuna for a number of years and was a private masseuse. Klara was an avid gardener and a former communicant of St. John the Baptist Church.
Klara was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sebastian “Buster” Macherone, whom she married in May 1949 and he died June 24, 2009; and a brother, Hein Knecht.
Survivors include her loving son, Brian Macherone of Schenectady; a grandson, Logan Macherone of Mechanicville; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 AM from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, with Pastor Tre Staton, officiating. Entombment to follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Thursday morning from 10 to 11 AM.
