SCHENECTADY - Kevin M. Sullivan, 64, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on Sunday, October 20, 2024, with his loving family by his side.
Kevin was born on January 9, 1960, in Bayshore, NY, the son of John and Lynn (Kelly) Sullivan. He grew up in Central Islip before relocating with his family to Orlando, Florida, where he graduated from Colonial High School.
At a young age, Kevin learned the trade of an ironworker and roofer, skills that would become the foundation of his career. In 1990, he moved to the Schenectady area and worked as a commercial roofer with Local 151, where he took pride in contributing to many roofs throughout the region. Kevin truly enjoyed his work and the camaraderie it brought.
Above all, Kevin was a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones. He was charismatic and known for being the life of the party, often holding court with his infectious storytelling. Kevin enjoyed watching football, and he had a special love for wrestling, especially when it came to watching his grandson compete. Kevin was a devoted communicant of Holy Name of Jesus in Schenectady.
Kevin's presence, humor, and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family.
Kevin was predeceased by his daughter, Shannon Sullivan; siblings, Elizabeth Sullivan and Josette Zdrowdski.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Laurie DiSorbo; loving children, Kevin Sullivan, Meaghan Sullivan and her husband, Michael Angehr, Devin Sullivan, Collin (Brittney Cooper) Sullivan, and Bridget Sullivan; the light of his life, his grandchildren, Eden Angehr, Jesaiah, Janeisa, Ryan, Nathan, and, Austin; a brother, Jeffrey Sullivan; and good friend, Matt Swan, many nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 4-5 PM, with a Service at 5 PM, with Fr. Jim Konicki, officiating.
