Kathryn "Kate" Van Buren

SCOTIA – Kathryn M. "Kate" Van Buren, 67, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at home, surrounded by her loving family, including Baron.
Kate was born in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Willard Bradford Bond and Ina May Wainwright Bond. She retired from Dutch Manor Nursing Home, after many years of service. Kate was kind, strong, loyal and independent with a gracious and loving heart, a friend to all.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth Van Buren, Marion Kearney, Ida Kilburn, Raymond Bond, Donald Bond, and Walter 'Pete' Van Buren.
She is survived by her sons Ricky (Charlene Burns) Van Buren, Randy Van Buren and his wife Tina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings William Van Buren, Linda Peek, Bradford Van Buren, Clifford Bond, Willard Bond, and Robert Bond; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held Friday evening at 7pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 4pm until the service.
