BROADALBIN – Justin M. DePaula, 34, died suddenly Sunday morning as a result of an automobile accident.
Justin was born in Niskayuna and was a graduate of Schenectady High School class of 1997. He attended SUNY Cobleskill and HVCC. Justin completed the apprentice program and became a journeyman electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers where he was currently employed. He had an unbridled passion and love for the Great Sacandaga Lake, spending his leisure time there, enjoying boating and snowmobiling. Justin embraced life, he had many wonderful friends, was known for his infectious smile and loved his family and his dog Dozer.
Justin is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harold & Mary Ferro and an uncle, Ronnie Ferro.
Survivors include his parents Michael & Tina Ferro DePaula; a brother, Jared DePaula and his wife Shelly (who was like a sister to Justin) of Scottsdale, AZ; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Ginny DePaula; his aunts and uncles, Anita and Van Stathis of Queensbury, NY; Richard and Lois Ferro of Schenectady, Dr. Joseph & Serena Rucker of Nashville, TN, and Mark Ferro of Schenectady, NY; several cousins, Lisa & Baird Joslin and their children Carina and Jacob, Jason Ferro and his sons Logan and Ryan, John & Alison Stathis and their children Cade and Trey, & Eric Stathis and many loving friends.
Services will be held on Thursday morning at 10am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am
