BAYTOWN, TX – Junita F. Cornick, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday.
Nicki was born in Idalia, CO, on October 2, 1924, a daughter of the late Andrew and Hazel Lightle. She honorably served her country during WWII as a surgical tech with the US Army WAC's. Nicki worked as a nurse for many years at St. Clare's Hospital, and the Glendale Home. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
She was predeceased by her husband Lester J. Cornick, a daughter, Madalyn Cornick; her daughter's-in-law, Cindy Garcia and Becky Cornick.
Nicki is survived by her loving children, Frank Robinson and Judy Stewart, of OR, her main care giver Chris Cornick, of TX, Steven Cornick and Paul (Kimberly) Cornick, all of Schenectady; her grandson, Chris (Darlene) Cornick, of TX, 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., with Pastor Mark Dorr, officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St. on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm.
