SCHENECTADY – Julie L. Pierce, 66, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love and care of her family after a long battle with ALS.
Born June 2, 1958 in Albany, Julie was the daughter of the late Charles and Frances (Welsch) Tanner. She was raised in Altamont, attended Altamont Elementary School, and graduated from Guilderland High School in 1976.
A devoted homemaker, Julie dedicated her time and heart to raising her three daughter's; in addition to working for Pat & Co, in Delanson. She had retired early to spend time with her grandchildren and her husband.
Julie and her beloved husband, Scott, shared a passion for motorcycles and were active members of the riding community. Together, they found joy on the open road, often taking part in charity rides to raise funds and support for those in need. She enjoyed volunteering for the Harley Rendezvous for many years. Julie’s kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Lisa Rene Pierce; and brother, Dennis Tanner.
She is survived by her beloved husband whom she spent the last 50 blissful years with, Scott A. Pierce; loving daughters, Jessica (Shaun) Pierce and Katelynn (Kevin) Pike; grandchildren, Natalia Brunson, Kaiden and Kinsley Pike and Yasin; siblings, Charles (Phyllis) Tanner, II, Virginia (John) Gallo, Dianne Dwyer, Gary (Mary Jane) Tanner; sister-in-law, Gail Tanner; and many nieces, nephews and her beloved cats Chloe and Bella.
Services will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 28 2025 at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memory’s Gardens.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2025, from 11am to 1pm.
