ROTTERDAM – Judith A. McClosky, 89, eternally joined her Lord on Monday at Ellis Hospital, after a recent admission.
Judy was born in Scranton PA, on September 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose Bianco Falvo. She was educated in Schenectady and was a licensed real estate agent in the states of New York and Florida. She and her husband Edward, owned and operated the Dari-Treet on VanVranken Avenue for over 20 years. Judy sold real estate in the Capital District and then in Bradenton, FL for 15 years. She was a fun loving and adventurous soul, she enjoyed gambling and the excitement of the racecino, visiting it with her family and friends. Judy was a wonderful cook and her meatballs will be missed by all. She was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Edward McClosky in 2006 and her brother, Jack Falvo.
Survivors include her loving children, Faye Falvo Rispoli and her husband Frank of Niskayuna, Brother Ron and his wife Ferol McClosky of Glenville and Russ and his wife Debora McClosky of Rotterdam; siblings, Stephanie Valentino, and Carmen Tripoli, of Rotterdam, Steve Falvo and his wife Joanie, of Vestal, NY, Anthony Falvo and his wife Peggy, of Glenville and Frank Falvo, of Niskayuna. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday morning at 9am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Street and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, were a Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow beside her husband in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy's memory to St. Anthony's Bread, 836 Sanders Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302.
