Joseph S. Lamalfa

SCHENECTADY – Joseph S. LaMalfa, 80, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Joe was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Salvatore and Rafaella Nappi LaMalfa, and grew up in the Goose Hill Neighborhood. He attended Spencer Business Institute and worked as a Technical Clerk at Lockheed Martin in Niskayuna retiring after 38 years of service. Joe took enormous pride in his home, tending to the smallest details. He was an avid gardener, enthusiastic collector of many special items; enjoyed cruises and traveling to Aruba, Ireland and Disney World; working on his 1931 Model A Pickup and gathering with the ‘Goose Hill Gang’.
Joe is survived by his beloved life partner of 40 years, Patricia Kehn; devoted son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Sue (Raeder) LaMalfa and the light of his life, his grandson, Ryan LaMalfa. Many cousins also survive.
Services will be held on Saturday at 9am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 2216 Rosa Road at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 7 pm.
