REXFORD – Joseph H. Krawiecki, Sr., 72 died suddenly on Tuesday at home. He now rests in eternal peace.
Joe was born in Schenectady, on July 10, 1941 a son of the late Henry and Genevieve Wachowicz Krawiecki. He was a 1959 graduate of Linton High School and worked at the General Electric Company and for UPS. In 1967 Joe began his long and dedicated career as a firefighter and EMT for the City of Schenectady, retiring in 1999 with 32 years of faithful service. For many years, Joe owned and operated D&S Delivery and most currently he was employed as a driver for the Niskayuna School System. Joe was dedicated to his family, friends and the community in which he served. He leaves to his loving family, a legacy of commitment, loyalty and faith. He was a member of the Schenectady Firefighters Local # 28, serving on the Central Labor Council Committee and the Vets Club.
Joe was predeceased in death by his brother, William Krawiecki.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Jacqueline Gioeli Krawiecki, devoted sons, Vincent Krawiecki, Sr., and his wife Fiorina, of Rexford, Joseph H. Krawiecki, Jr., of PA and Edward Krawiecki and his wife Diane, of Glenville; adoring grandchildren, Jacqueline, Vincent Jr., and Sidney Anne.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, at Immaculate Conception Church, Rt. 50, Glenville, at 10am.
All active and retired firefighters are requested to meet at Immaculate Conception Church by 9:30am.
