SCOTIA – Joseph P. DiCocco, 75, entered peacefully into eternal rest on May 9, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Joseph and Yolanda DiCocco. A proud graduate of Mont Pleasant High School’s Class of 1968, he was a standout on the track team, known for his competitive spirit. Joe began his career as a crane operator at General Electric and later dedicated many years to KAPL, where he was respected for his hard work and easygoing nature.
Joe was a light-hearted soul with a quiet strength. He cherished the simple joys of life—Sunday drives, classic television reruns, and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees.
The true center of Joe’s world, however, was his family. He shared 38 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Victoria Brugnetti DiCocco, who passed away on November 5, 2014. Together, they built a home filled with love, traditions, and warmth—a legacy that lives on in their children and grandchild.
Joe is survived by his cherished family: his twin sons, Adam DiCocco and Anthony DiCocco; his daughter, Danielle Puglisi, and her husband, Carlo; and his treasured granddaughter, his little princess, Gianna Puglisi. He also leaves behind his brother, David DiCocco, and his wife, Alma; along with several nieces and nephews who will remember his kind heart and gentle humor.
Services will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
