Johnny was born in Schenectady on September 19, 1969, the son of John W. Weidman, Sr. and the late Charlotte Frederico Weidman. He was a graduate of Draper High School and worked for Schenectady Steel, as a steel fabricator; and then with Con-Rel, where he rebuilt automobile alternators and starters for many years. He has been employed for over 24 years at Bellevue Builders Supply, where he began work in the Truss Shop, before moving up the ladder to become a Top-Level Contractor Salesman. Johnny was respected in his career, because of his knowledge in the construction field. He went above and beyond, for his customers and co-workers, to get the job done.
Johnny was a simple free free-spirited person who lived life, he could enjoy every day. He was very intuitive and a deep thinker, and lived in the moment.
In his early years, he did Track motorcycle racing, which his Dad inspired him to do as a child, he also did motorcycle racing. He loved all genres of music; especially the Grateful Dead and the crowds their concerts attracted, because you just go with the flow.
He loved telling stories, and jokes, he could make you laugh and cry with his rare sense of humor. He had a warm smile and a heart of gold. Johnny had a young soul and loved hanging with his family, he even got them to try out his love of skydiving. He loved spending time with his friends, especially his childhood friend, Mike Durant.
Johnny was predeceased by his mother, Charlotte M. Frederico Weidman.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Ann Pawlak Weidman, whom he married September 13, 2002; his father, John W. Weidman, Sr., his son, John W.
