John Vincent Frese

CLIFTON PARK – John V. Frese, 94, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born in Castel Campagnano, province of Benevento, Italy on February 22, 1923 a son of the late Angelo and Mary (Mazzaro) Frese. He was a 1941 graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and honorably served in the US Army during WWII. John worked in the Instrumentation Lab at the General Electric Company, retiring after 42 years of service. He relished in his summer residence in Lake George; boating and especially the treasured memories of the fun and loving times with his family and friends. John was a communicant of St. Thomas and St. Edward the Confessor Churches.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Pivacek Frese, loving daughters, Lisa Tamburello, of Halfmoon, Michele (Kurt) Armstrong, of St. Joseph, MI, Denise (Nick) Lyons, of Syracuse; adoring grandchildren, Cara Tamburello, of Nashville, TN, Joseph (Liz) Tamburello, of Malta, Vincent Lyons, of Portland, ME, Nicole Lyons, of Syracuse and Andrew Armstrong, of St. Joseph, MI; cherished great-grandson, Dean Tamburello; a brother, Gildo (Doris) Frese, of Chesapeake, VA; several close nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends and their families.
Services will be held on Thursday at 4 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, with Fr. Richard A. Carlino, officiating. Interment in Saratoga National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm.
The family request flowers not be sent, those wishing may make a contribution in John's memory to a charity of one's choice.
