John A. Ezzo

September 18, 1946 — January 22, 2017

NISKAYUNA – John A. Ezzo, 70, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Ellis Hospital.
John was born in Schenectady, a son of the late Mario and Elizabeth (Coppola) Ezzo. He was a 1964 graduate of Linton High School and worked at ALCO for a short time. John began his 30 year tenure with the General Electric Company, retiring as an inspector in the Turbine Division, where he respectfully earned the nick name "No Pass John". Like his professional career, John lived his life with excellence, precision and perfection. He was kind, gentle, articulate, and compassionate. He was a member of the General Electric Quarter Century Club, a bowler at Donato's Sportsman Bowl, and outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting, and loved tending to his garden.
John was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife, Sharyn Garrity Ezzo whom he married on September 28, 1964 until her death on October 3, 2014.
He is survived by his loving family; children, John Mario (Elizabeth) Ezzo, of Auburn, WA and Lisa Marie (Bradley) Manchester, of Ft. Myers, Fl; siblings, Anthony (Diane) Ezzo, of Pattersonville and Linda (Richard) Jones, of Schenectady; mother-in-law, Rosalie Chandler Garrity, sister-in-law Stephanie Kleindienst, brother-in-law, John E. Garrity, nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Justin) Coletti, Matthew (Trish) Ezzo and Jennifer Kleindienst; great nephews and niece, Justice, Marcus and Nora Rose and his dear cousin Michael DiLorenzo.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street and then to St. Anthony's Church, Seward Place, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be con-celebrated at 11am. Entombment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm.
