GLENVILLE – Jo-Ann Gizzi McNulty, 83, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, August 12th at home surrounded by her beloved family.
Jo-Ann was born on Monroe Street in Schenectady, a daughter of the late Michael and Teresa Lupi Gizzi. She was educated locally, and lived on VanVranken Avenue where she met her future husband in 1958. Jo-Ann was proud of her Italian immigrant parents, she was a stay at home mother until she found her second career as an Aide at the Schenectady Hospice which she was associated with for over 40 years. She was also a Waitress at Ferrari Restaurant. Jo-Ann enjoyed the simple things in life, like picnics and camping especially at Indian Lake and family Cruises. She is a communicant of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church where she and her husband donated the children’s playground.
Jo-Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, David whom she married July 1, 1961and he died June 28, 2022; and an infant son, Robert McNulty.
She is survived by her loving children, David J. McNulty, Jr., Ronald McNulty; grandchildren, David (Crystal) McNulty, III, Julie McNulty, Nicole DiMeo, Anthony (Katie) McNulty, Alana and Eva McNulty; great-grandchildren, Mason, Morgan, Cole and Cody McNulty; siblings, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Monday, August 17th at 8 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Union Street. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home.
