OBITUARY- Jeannette M. Scripa, 77, passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 3, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital.
Jeannette was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late David and Viola Ciccarelli Boggus. She was a 1964 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and worked for the Schenectady School District as a stenographer, retiring after many years of dedicated service. Jeannette’s life journey was one of true compassion and generosity. Whether it was the comforting aroma of her home-cooked meals or the laughter of shared family gatherings, Jeannette found delight in the smallest pleasures. She found immeasurable joy in the embrace of her family. She cherished every moment as a mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. A woman of many passions, she loved picking up a pencil and sketching; using her talent to crochet gifts for her loved ones, and cooking and enjoying holidays with her family. A woman of true faith, she will be missed and remembered by everyone she met.
Jeannette was predeceased by her parents and her loving son, James David ‘JD’ Scripa on December 29, 1985.
She is survived by her devoted and loving daughters, Kimberly A. (Jeremy) Bell and Jessica (Matthew) Silver; her dear grandsons, Emmett and Jacob Silver and her sisters, Diane Feldman and Christine Schmidt; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11 am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 am to 11 am.
