Janice O. Dantz (Chalfont)

Heaven received an angel on Monday afternoon, September 6, 2021, Janice O. Dantz (Chalfont), 81, after a long illness, received her wings with her loving family at her side.
Janice was born in Rome, GA, the daughter of the late Thomas and Willie Lucille (Parker) McEntire. She was educated in Charleston, SC, before locating to Schenectady. She worked at the former White Tower and then for many years, at the lunch counter at Woolworth’s on State Street. She was a kind, gracious and loving woman, devoted to her family.
Janice was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Chalfont, Jr.; sons, Timmy and Dennis Dantz; grandson, David DiFabio, Jr.; siblings, Marion ‘Les’ McEntire and Thomas ‘Jerry’ McEntire.
She is survived by her children, Robert J. (Denelle) Dantz, Deborah Collins, Sharon Dantz, Janice (John) Herold, Daniel (Geralyn) Dantz, and Arlene (Peter) Luibrand; step-daughter, Shana (Bruce) Stuto; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Monday from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in Charleston, SC.
