Schenectady—James J. Seccombe, 63, of Hattie Street, died Tuesday morning after a brief illness.
James was born in Schenectady on August 28, 1946, son of the late John and Harriett Galleger Seccombe. He was educated in Schenectady schools and he served in United States Army, Corps of Engineers, in Vietnam. He then worked as a mason for Ramlow Construction Co. for over 30 years. He was very active in Veterans Affairs and martial arts.
Survivors include his loving partner Wanda Neale; children, Cassandra Justice and her husband Terry of Schenectady, Shane J. Seccombe and our beloved daughter-in-law Robyn of Rotterdam, Shannon Houghton and her husband Eric of Schenectady, Maurice Neale of AK, Michael Neale of Schenectady; grandchildren, Myranda, James, Shane, Maggie and Stephanie; siblings, Ken Rexford and Sandra Alvord; and longtime friend Michael Bowman.
A service of remembrance will be held Friday evening at 7 PM at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets.Family and friends are invited and may call at Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM.
