SCHENECTADY – Jacqueline Renee Laviolette Hart, 66, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2023, at home after struggling with cancer.
Jacqueline was born in Schenectady on July 12, 1957, the daughter of the late Lawrence Laviolette and Eunice Rafferty Laviolette. She was educated in the Schenectady schools and attended the former Linton High School, class of 1975.
She was a kind and loving soul. She would always go out of her way to help others. She was a faith-filled woman who was appreciative of all of God’s gifts. Jacqueline treasured her family and friends. She worked in various jobs over the years.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her children, Dixie and her husband Ellis Riker, Shelly Hart, Wendy Hart, and Jeffrey Hart; her siblings, Joseph Laviolette, Linda Carter, Susan Hartley and John Laviolette; her grandchildren, Isaiah Fields, Andre Fields, Ellis Riker, Jr., Malik Riker, Nyasia Riker and Shydaasia Riker; great-grandchildren Sha’ki Fields, Izerre Fields, Ezra Holcomb, Sy’Avion Caldwell, Areenē Caldwell, Ahziah Carter, Milanii Riker, Ja’daici Gentry; nieces, Renee Laviolette, Julee Carter; nephews, Jason Laviolette, Herbert Hartley, Robert Carter, and many friends.
The family will receive family and friends at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street, Schenectady this Wednesday, November 1st, from 5 to 7 PM. The Rev. Kevin Rogers will lead the Memorial Celebration.
