Inge Margarete Dejohn

SCHENECTADY - Inge Margarete Krimmer DeJohn, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Inge was born on March 17th, 1934 in Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany as the first child of Erwin Maler Krimmer and Frida Marta Kolz. She married Achille DeJohn, son of John DeJohn and Philomena Landolfo, in Ludwigsburg on October 30th, 1954.
Mrs. DeJohn was a Schenectady resident for 67 years and worked at Central Market for many years. She was a communicant of St. Helen’s Church. She enjoyed being with children and grandchildren, cooking, and keeping up her home. She always had a smile and made everyone around her laugh.
She is predeceased by her husband Archie, her daughter Susan, and siblings Rolf, Heiner, Sonja, Herbert, and Gerhard.
Survivors include her brother Werner Brukner, of Ludwigsburg, Germany; children Deborah (Doug Simmons), Bernice (Robert Dutcher), Peter (Patricia), Peggy Bond, James Ryan, Bernard, and Timothy; grandchildren Bradley Hagadorn, Shawn Ryan, Jamie Bond, Nicole Decker, Joshua Bond, Jeffrey Hagadorn, James Ryan Jr, Jennifer DeJohn, Steven Knapp and Dylan Dutcher, many nieces, nephews, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, N. Brandywine Avenue, Schenectady.
Memorial contributions may be made in Inge’s memory to Community Hospice at communityhospice.org.
