SCHENECTADY – Henry M. “Corky” Carringi, III, 71, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at St. Peter’s Hospice, surrounded by the love of his family.
Henry was born in Schenectady on June 10, 1949 the son of the late Henry and Dorothy Cichy Carringi. He was a graduate of Mt Pleasant High School and attended Miami-Dade College. Henry enlisted in the United States Army, honorably serving his country in Germany from 1969-1971. He apprenticed and began work with the Iron Workers Local Union #12 and retired after many years of service. He was a remarkable husband, father, grandfather and brother. His greatest joy was sharing his endless love with his family and friends. Henry enjoyed spending time with his wife at the casino.
He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of almost 25 years, Linda Lencewicz Carringi; loving children, Melissa Hotaling, and Brian (Stephanie) Hotaling; treasured grandchildren, Samantha, Gabriel, Kaden, Nick, Pat and Shane; friends and brothers, Thomas Carringi (Kathy) and Dennis (Rosanne) Carringi; several nieces and nephews and his four legged buddy Daisy.
A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 11th at 9:30 am at St. Luke’s Church, State Street. Interment with military honors will follow at 11:30 am in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
Memorial contributions may be made in Henry’s memory to St. Luke’s Food Pantry or Community Hospice.
