SAN ANTONIO, TX - Grace Corbett Perretta, 87, of Arden Courts Care Facility, died Thursday morning, after a lengthy illness.
Grace was born in Troy, NY, on December 10, 1923, the daughter of the late Lawrence D. and Alice Betts Corbett. She graduated from Scotia High School, class of 1940. She was a secretary for the General Electric Company in Schenectady during World War II. She then lived as a homemaker to her family. She was a communicant of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Schenectady. She was a member of the Schenectady Elks and active in Haven.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Angelo S. Perretta, whom she married on July 25, 1943, who died on June 30, 1981 and a brother, Lawrence D. Corbett, Jr.
Survivors include her loving sons, Joseph and his wife Karen Perretta, of San Antonio, TX, and John Rand Perretta of Livermore, CA; a grandson, Andrew D. Perretta of San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law, Amelia Perretta. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Friday, at 11 AM, at St. George’s Episcopal Church, 30 N. Ferry St., with Fr. Marshall Vang, officiating. Interment to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brandywine Avenue.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, Union at N. Jay Streets, Friday morning, from 9 to 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George’s Episcopal Church, 30 N. Ferry St., Schenectady, NY 12305.
