Gloria M. Santilli passed away quietly while surrounded by immediate family on January 24, 2025. Born to Fred and Lena Comenzo on August 9, 1927 and sister to Roselyn Ciani and Evelyn Prime, Gloria graduated from Nott Terrace High School before marrying Angelo Santilli and settling down in Scotia, NY to raise Thomas, Suzanne, Gloria, Frederick and Christopher. Prior to and while raising her 5 children, Gloria worked at General Electric and New York Telephone in Schenectady where her talents earned promotions over the years. As the most family-focused person ever, Gloria cherished spending time with her 5 children, 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren - all of whom will dearly miss her cheerful spirit, selflessness, compassion, perseverance, unconditional love, and love of family. As a devoted and knowledgeable NY Yankee baseball fan, Gloria was known to call sister Evie during any televised game to share her excitement (or complaint) about the teams. Her family carries rich memories of her "Vigilia" Christmas Eve dinner parties; dressing in costume attire as a Hugger for years at the Special Olympics Races; and performing as a Clown at charity functions. The family is forever indebted to their Auntie Evie and Uncle Bill Prime for the love and support bestowed upon Gloria spanning many years. Her everlasting gift to all is Family First, Period, End of Story.
The family will be having a private celebration of life to honor her
