SCOTIA - Gloria Jean Lupi Mulyca, 68, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 23, 2021.
She was born in Schenectady, NY on April 28, 1952 to Armond and Doris Lupi. She was a graduate of Linton High School in 1970. She started her 43 year career at Knolls Atomic Power Lab (KAPL) in May of 1972 as an administrative assistant, retiring in June 2014 to become a fulltime grandmother.
Gloria loved watching her grandson play baseball, and her granddaughter ride dirt bikes - amongst various other activities. She was her happiest when she was with her grandchildren, watching them live life to the fullest. Anyone who knew Gloria, knew she would occasionally (or a lot!) visit the casinos to play slots. She also loved playing Uno and war with her grandchildren, as well as beating Edward at any card game to win all of his quarters. She loved her scratch-offs, and going out to eat at the local diner. She enjoyed going to Florida to visit with her son and wife, and really enjoyed going on cruises. But above all, she endlessly loved her family. Gloria selflessly helped her loved ones, no matter what it took.
Gloria is predeceased by her parents Armond and Doris Lupi, brothers Arnie and Bernard Lupi, as well as her sister Linda Lupi Wells.
She is survived by her husband Edward Mulyca, her two sons Eric (Michelle M), and Aaron (Michelle A), her two grandchildren Logan and Savannah, as well as many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Services will be held on Friday at 1:30 pm at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie
