SCHENECTADY – Garry F. Cognetti, 67, passed away at Ellis Hospital on October 18, 2017 as the result of a pedestrian/automobile accident.
Garry was born in Niskayuna on May 2, 1950 a son of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Rocissano) Cognetti. He was a kind and generous man. Garry was an avid fan of muscle cars.
He was predeceased by his parents and his son Shane Cognetti.
Garry is survived by his loving daughter Amanda Allen; his devoted sister, Donna (David) Villeneuve; grandson Shane Allen; companion, Cassandra Rosetti; two aunts and several cousins.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 10am at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 pm.
