ROTTERDAM – Gail Campo Cieszynski, born August 1, 1948, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Gail was born in Schenectady a daughter of the late Eugenio "Gene" and Shirley Campo. She worked as a clerk for the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for over 30 years. She will be remembered as being loving and caring. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church
In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased in death by her beloved husband Kevin Cieszynski, in 1996 after 21 years of marriage and her siblings, Ronald Campo, Pamela Buechler and Karen Leavitt.
She is survived by her devoted children, Shane A. Cieszynski and his wife Veronica, Shawn Cieszynski and Betty Anne Cieszynski; loving grandchildren, Rio Cieszynski, Tyler Dunham and Joseph and Theodore Bemis; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday at 9 am at the Rossi & Ditoro, Union at N. Jay Streets and then to St. Gabriel's Church, Hamburg Street where a Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm.
