SCHENECTADY – Frederick Peter Greenwood, 48, friend to all, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Peter was born on October 12, 1973, a son of the late Frederick and Arlene Connery Greenwood. He graduated from Linton High School and worked in the mailroom at Cannon Corporation. As the mayor of Carrie Street, Peter did odd jobs for most of his neighbors always with a smile and conversation. He was kind, generous, and had a heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, Peter was predeceased by his beloved wife Jessica Serson Greenwood.
He is survived by his loving brother, Craig Appell Sr. (Patti), his niece Amy Bowers (Sean), his nephew Craig Appell Jr. (Sarah), his niece Jessica Callahan (Nick), as well as many beloved great-nieces, nephews, and close friends, including his best friend, Pat Bailey.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union Street on Monday, November 22nd from 4pm to 6pm.
Interment will be on Tuesday, November 23rd at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s Cemetery alongside his beloved wife Jessica. Memorial Contributions may be made in Peter's memory to the Schenectady City Mission.
