Frederick 'Fred' Colucci

SCHENECTADY – Frederick 'Fred' Colucci, 64, passed away on Wednesday at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Fred was born and educated in Schenectady, a son of the late Fred and Laura Colucci. He was a 1968 graduate of Linton High School and received his BS degree in Business from Siena in 1972. Fred joined the family business Colucci Covering Center on McClellan Street before moving to South Avenue in 1981. He was an epitome of a man, kind, hardworking and devoted to his family and friends. Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and ice fishing and was communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters, Antoinette 'Tawny'
Colucci and Sophia 'Sissy' Butwell.
His is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Paula A. Wood Colucci, whom he married January 29, 1969; loving children, Frederick Colucci, of Schenectady, Lisa Colucci, of Glenville, Christine Vala and her husband Luis, of Ludlow, MA, Laura Colucci, of Glenville and Nicholas Colucci, of Bronx, NY; siblings, Sophia Piazza and her husband Anthony, of Gloversville, Lora Colucci, of Charlton, Timothy Colucci, of the Town of Florida; adoring grandchildren, Victoria Colucci and her husband Nick Cordi, Erica Colucci, Carys Curcio, Gavin and Morgan Vala, also survived by several nieces and nephews who he dearly loved.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10 am from the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., and then to St. John the Evangelist Church, where a service will be held at 11 am.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Fred's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
